Spanish Cay E6

Great condo overall. A few suggestions, however, would make the rental even better. Given that this is a longer rental (I believe a two-week minimum), it would have been nice if there were basics like foil/salt/pepper provided. Also, the mattresses were too soft. We all suffered from achy backs! But the place was very clean, convenient to everything, and perfect for a family of 4.

Dear Elisabeth, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at Spanish Cay E6! We are so glad that you had a wonderful time and we look forward to seeing you again in the sun! We provide the same starter kit to all of our properties, even our homes which rent by the month. This is pretty standard in vacation rental properties as it is meant to just get you started and anything additional would be up to you to purchase. Salt & pepper, foil, and other basics were taken away at the beginning of covid to try and limit germs from spreading from guest to guest. We are sorry as well about the mattresses, however, mattresses are very selective as you can imagine, which makes it tough to change them out based on just one review.

Good as always. Problem with TV in small bedroom that was mostly resolved but my need some further attention. Only network channels available.
Rug in dining room may need replacement. Some stains and it is losing fibers which make it always look dirty.

My family of 4 was very pleased with our stay with Sanibel Vacations. The condo was extremely clean and had everything we needed for our 2 week stay including beach towels, chairs and umbrella. The pool was a warm 85 degrees and felt like bathwater. We loved seeing the birds, alligator and iguana from the lanai. The condo was very quiet and in a great location for riding a bike or a walking to the beach. The only hiccup was trying to figure out the convection oven. The first time we used it we ruined a frozen pizza and had to have one delivered but after that we figured it out. Some step by step instructions would have been useful. Also, laundry and dishwasher detergent is provided but bring more because you'll need it. My family loved the location and amenities so much if we ever go back to Sanibel we will definitely stay here!

We are sorry about the confusion regarding the convection oven, we would have gladly sent someone over to take a look at it if we had been notified! Yes, we do provide each family with a starter kit that states you are given 2 pods of laundry detergent and 2 pods of dishwasher detergent and then after that it is up to you to purchase any more if necessary! We hope you will come stay with us again in the future!

We could not have enjoyed our stay more. The unit we stayed in was modern and nicely done. The Sanibel river out our lanai attracted more wildlife than we ever saw on the ocean. Birds too numerous and varied to list, alligators, turtles and iguanas were all frequently seen. The ocean was easy to get to with the property having a deeded access just down the street. We either walked, road our bikes or drove depending on how much we were bringing with us. The condo had great beach supplies, chairs, umbrellas and more.

This our third year at Spanish Cay and our second year in unit E6. We really like the location. Easy to bicycle to anywhere on the island. The unit is extremely nice and well furnished and Sanibel Vacations staff is excellent.

We stayed at Spanish Cay E6 for 2 weeks in late May. The condo itself is comfortable and spotlessly clean. It has been updated and upgraded, the finishes are very nice.
We enjoyed the lanai so much, the proximity to the river was amazing. The lanai is screened, overlooking the river. We spent hours on the lanai watching birds, turtles and occasionally an alligator.
The condo came equipped with basic beach needs, all in new condition.
The access to the beach is a short walk-maybe 5 minutes, less than a minute bike ride, we didn't find it an issue at all.
Wonderful visit, would definitely recommend.

We are regulars to Sanibel Island. This year, we enjoyed staying at Spanish Cay E6. The apartment was in excellent condition, clean, quiet and comfortable. The views of Sanibel River were great. There were plenty of birds to watch while sitting on the porch. The location and short walk to the beach were very convenient. Working through SBL vacations was very straightforward. They were responsive and helpful. We look forward to our next vacation in Sanibel!

Yes, the condo was brand new. It felt like we were the first people to use it, it was so clean. When I first got there I couldn't figure out how to get the screen away from the door. A SBL vacation person was in the parking lot and he came up and helped me, answered all my questions and was very very friendly taking his time to talk to me. The hairdryer didn't work in the master bath. Another one showed up the next morning. Rented a bike through them and when I went to the office everyone was friendly, even the bike man talked to me about the bikes. This condo complex I would not recommend for anyone with small children. There is a hose that you can use to wash shells but not a shell washing station. The pool is not huge and there are no other amenities. However, all the people we came in contact with were so friendly and nice. The beach access is not right across the street, however you can drive with all your stuff if you didn't want to walk or ride a bike. Would definitely rent through them again. In fact, we are!!!
