Pelicans Roost 107

Spacious and beautifully decorated. Very clean, nice location with a view. Check-in was very responsive with information on accessing the unit. Only criticism is regarding mattresses. Suggest that the mattresses be replaced, even if new, because they are way too firm making it impossible to sleep without feeling like your spine was hit by a bat. Slept on the couch 3 of the 4 nights because the mattresses felt like sleeping on a wood plank. Also, sleeping pillows look great, but not great for sleeping which is why I have a 3 out of 5 stars for the “overall condition”. Otherwise, it would have been 5 stars. If rated on mattresses alone, it would be a 0/1.

Visited Sanibel again after several years and Pelican’s Roost was the perfect spot! The condo is spacious and extremely well maintained with beautiful views of sunrises and sunsets over the ocean. I can’t wait to come back!

Pelican's Roost is a lovely, small complex right on the beach. The condo itself was stunning, absolutely loved the decor. Everything was new and clean in the condo. The views were amazing overlooking the Gulf and beach. Loved the setup of beach chairs and umbrellas available underneath the property to take straight to the beach. Perfect condo and location for a beach holiday and not far to shops and restaurants.
The only downside was we had an issue with the air con that took a few days to permanently fix. Sanibel Vacations were quick to respond during the week, however, when it broke on a Sunday there was no response to their emergency number. This is really poor as anything could have happened to us or the property, as it was no air con in May in Florida is no joke. I tried their emergency number a number of times, emailed and even used Social Media to try and contact them but nothing. They did rectify the issue swiftly on the Monday.

After a 2 year hiatus (thanks Ian) we were able to get back to our families favorite destination and Pelican Roost 107 did not disappoint. Plenty of space and nicely done with beautiful ocean views. Thankful for all of the locals who make Sanibel so special, we will be back soon!

It was close to perfect. The condo, the beach, all of it. Some noticeable previous storm damage, but that’s so minor. The rental company was beyond helpful. Couldn’t been happier, and want to come hack.

The Pelicans Roost was a wonderful place to stay! The remodel of this property following the hurricane was top notch. This condo is very comfortable, roomy, easy to access, and the view is great. The unit has beach towels, and plenty of beach chairs located at the beginning of the walkway to the beach entrance. The Sanibel Vacations staff was extremely professional and answered all of my texts and phone calls immediately, this was very helpful, and made our stay perfect. We will be back!

Convenient location to airport, stores, restaurants and most importantly the beach. The unit was very clean with comfortable space for 5 of us. Everything is new. Host was quick to respond and take care of anything we needed. Nice pool & Tennis courts.

It was wonderful. Girls weekend away and we enjoyed the beach, pool, grills and kitchen. It was so nice to be able to stay on property all day and everything is a short walk.

Pelicans Roost #107 is an excellent location. Being on the end of the building, it provides a secluded feel and great views of the beach. Check in was a breeze, the staff, both onsite and at the office, were professional and always nice, and the facility had everything needed to spend a day on the beach. (Chairs, towels, umbrellas, etc.) The walk is only about 50 yards on a private boardwalk to the sand and there are 2 locations to wash off the sand from your feet to keep from tracking it back to your room. I really enjoyed having my morning coffee on the porch and watching the rabbits that inhabit the undercover brush hop about feeding. While on the island, we enjoyed multiple restaurants and enjoyed the 4th of July fireworks on the bridge. Now my wife wants to move here permanently due to the friendly people. We will definitely stay again.

We had a lovely stay. Nicely equipped, clean condo. The chair/umbrella situation wasn’t ideal. The ones that were available weren’t in great shape and it was difficult for us (it’s just me and my daughter) to get the umbrellas to stay up. Not a huge problem, just kind of irritating. Otherwise we had a great time!!

I wasn't sure what to expect after reading all the reviews--they were kind of mixed! But this was a nice little gem of a place! I thought it was on the ground floor, but it's actually a flight of stairs up. It was no big deal and there was an elevator if needed, but I thought we were gonna be able to walk out of our room to the lawn. I liked that it was a corner unit. We hardly ever heard any noise or anything from neighbors. A very quiet condo. The condo itself was dated, but everything worked and it was clean. The shower was really nice--good pressure. Loved keeping the windows open with the screened in patio. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Would definitely recommend!
