(5/5 stars) We enjoyed the home, the accommodations, the views, the bright sunny days, the 364 steps to the nearby wonderful Sanibel beach, the spa, the pool. Quiet neighborhood, friendly folks. Can bike to many places, plenty of good restaurants and we enjoyed grilling on the patio and cooking in the home. Second time we have stayed in sunken treasure. Sitting out by the pool at night, we heard nothing but the birds, and water trickling down from the spa. Very clean and well equipped. Easy to bike to Ding Darling, and all restaurants. As always SBL was professional, responsive and kept us up to date. It was the first time since Ian we had an opportunity to come down and find a property we knew we enjoy. Also a short ride to the island bike paths. The home was well stocked and comfortable. The pool was warm and clean. We also enjoyed the whirlpool, it felt good on our aching muscles after bicycling all day. This is a short ride to Ding Darling too. We had a few minor issues and the SBL people were extremely responsive and helpful. It’s in our favorite location on Sanibel which is on the West end of the island. Our only issue was that the pool area could have been a little cleaner. Spider webs were plentiful! We will be back next January! - Anonymous Posted on 2/15/2025 ### Excellent home & area, close to beach, friendly & helpful staff (5/5 stars) The home is as advertised, clean, fresh, well maintained and nicely appointed. We had everything we needed, and plenty of space to enjoy our vacation. Our trip was interrupted by Milton leaving it's mark on the landscape (as with Helene) but the home was thankfully not touched. We enjoyed the Farmers Market, Doc Fords, Jerry's Grocery, Traders, Shell Museum, Sanibel Cafe and others. We really enjoyed the hours on the beach which was 350 steps from the home and still enjoying the three large boxes of shells we shipped home. Besides the 11 day Milton interruption, our only disappointment was the communication confusion over the heated pool and hot tub. We learned a little too late that the heater was broken so really am more disappointed in the pool company. Rob was great in coming out and determining the issue and showing me all the cool details. Despite that we very much enjoyed the pool and patio area and looking forward to staying again.
